Today, we honor and thank the five CMS staff members who have served our country to protect our freedoms. We are so grateful for their dedication and sacrifices. Please join me in showing appreciation to our amazing staff veterans. Thank you for your service!
🇺🇸Officer Loontjer served in the United States Marine Corps/United States Navy from 2002-2012 and was deployed overseas 4 times- three times to Iraq and once to Japan.
🇺🇸 Mr. Godejohn served in the US Navy from 1997-2003 aboard the Nuclear Missile Submarine USS Maine for 11 Strategic Deterrent Patrols.
🇺🇸 Mr. Medinger served in the United States Marine Corps from 1994-1998. He did two deployments with the 22nd MEU as a Military Policeman/Operations and Training clerk. A MEU is a Marine Expeditionary Unit.
🇺🇸 Mr. Ruskamp served in the Army National Guard from 1992-2000.
🇺🇸 Ms. Rasmussen served in the United States Army National Guard from 2007-2013.

CMS Student Council is hosting a Food Drive! Students should bring their non-perishable food donations to their advisory teachers between November 13-20th. Students will build a castle out of their donations during Advisory on Wednesday, November 20th. Prizes will be awarded for Best Castle Overall, Most Food, Most Likes on Facebook, and Best Per Grade Level.




7th Grade Activity Night will be Friday, November 22nd from 5:30-7:30. Admission is $3.00 or a donation of 2 canned food items. Students must have their CMS ID to enter. Parents, if you are willing to help supervise or donate snacks, water, or pizza money please contact Ms. Nilson or Ms. Harms.

⭐️Our 6 Maroon Student of the Week Katelyn! Her exceptional work ethic, kindness, and quiet leadership make her a standout member of our class. She is always willing to listen to other people's opinion and is always respectful when hearning someone else's point of view. Her classwork is always finished and done well. 5th Grade
⭐️The 5th grade Silver student of the week is Kruz. Kruz is very quiet but does what is asked of her right away. She helps other classmates when they're not sure on something. She is always quick to make a joke with her classmates and teachers. She truly is bright spot for the Silver Team!! Way to go, Kruz!
⭐️Heily is doing an amazing job at improving her English skills. She works very hard and puts in a lot of effort every day. Heily is also super helpful with her classmates, always ready to lend a hand. Her dedication and kindness make her a fantastic friend and student in our class. We’re so proud of Heily!

This week, Mrs. Schwebach's science students tackled the big question: "What does light provide to plants to help them grow?" 🌿 Using infrared thermometers, heat lamps, radiometers, and calculators, they investigated the essential role of light and energy in plant growth. From discovering how heat impacts plants to measuring light intensity, our young scientists came up with fascinating ideas on how light supports plant life. 🌱✨

⭐️Beckett is the 5 Maroon Student of the Week. Beckett's enthusiasm for learning is evident; he actively participates, and asks meaningful questions. He is also very insightful and helps the students around him develop a deeper understanding of content. Great job, Beckett!

🌧️🎃 Wacky Wednesday Fun in Mrs. Schwebach's Advisory! 🎃🌧️
On this rainy October 30th, Mrs. Schwebach's Advisory class turned pumpkins into both creative canvases and engineering practice! Students painted and built with pumpkins, adding some festive, hands-on learning to the day. 🎨🎃 We even enjoyed a playlist of music from different holidays to keep the creative vibes flowing!



IT IS TIME! It is time for the 7th grade language arts classes to go on Percy's Quest! Be on the lookout for "The Lightning Thief" at your house! Ask your seventh grader which god they would choose to be!
