Today we celebrate the last day of the 2024-2025 school year, but last week we celebrated our graduating seniors as they walked the halls of CMS one more time!

At the 5/19/2025 CPS Board of Education meeting the board recognized the middle school Destination Imagination national qualifiers. Congratulations on your accomplishment!

🎉 Congratulations to our 4th Quarter Students of the Quarter, Fas-Break Recipients, and our newly Fluent English Proficient students! 🎉
We are so proud of your hard work, dedication, and achievements. Whether it's showing excellence in the classroom, strong character, or making amazing strides in language development — you’ve earned this recognition! 👏🌟
Keep up the amazing work! 💪📚

🎭✨ Columbus Middle School Theater had an unforgettable trip to Omaha this week! 29 of our students were able to participate in Master Classes with Hamilton the musical! One group joined a dance workshop led by a cast member, while the other had the chance to meet the incredible backstage crew, asking lots of questions about how they manage props, wigs, sound, and more. It was an amazing learning opportunity for all, and we’re so grateful to the Nebraska Theater Academy for hosting this event! 🎶🎬

Back at the beginning of the school year — on just the second day — our 7th graders were challenged to draw a mental map of the world (that’s a map drawn completely from memory!).
Fast forward to today, after a year of studying geography, exploring maps, and learning about countries around the globe, they took on the same challenge once again.
The results? Absolutely amazing. The growth is undeniable — check out just a few examples of our incredible improvement!
