Today our 5th and 6th graders went to all the elementary schools to perform their play, Alice in Wonderland 🐰. They had a blast, as this is the first year they have done this. The elementary students loved seeing the first and last scenes. 🃏 Our students are super excited to put on this show next week on Friday, December 5th at 7 p.m., and Saturday, December 6th at 2 p.m.! 🎭

Yesterday our 8th grade A and B basketball teams🏀 played. A played hard and won their game. B came up short and lost. That won’t bring our team down! Our basketball team will continue to work hard and win their next game🏅

⭐️The 8 silver student of the week is inquisitive and willing to help others. He is always willing to go above and beyond to keep his group going. He is polite and gives his efforts. Well done, Kale!

He is personable and kind, making others feel comfortable and included. Logan contributes meaningful insights during class and works to deepen his understanding. The Columbus Middle School wrestling team had a home meet yesterday against several schools. Some boys had losses while others had wins, but everyone had a piece of the fun. They all did great with some awesome throws, pins, and moves. We are so proud of you all! Hope to see you at the next meet in Norfolk, Nebraska. Go Discoverers!

Yesterday, our 7th grade girls basketball teams played against Barr, and all of our teams played incredibly hard—and won! C Team won with a score of 12–4, B Team won 12–2, and A Team won 26–12. Congratulations to all of our teams!

6th Grade

⭐️This 6 Silver Student of the Week is a quiet leader. He is someone that we can rely on to get homework done and who puts forth his best effort. He keeps to himself, but is not afraid to step in and help someone out when they are struggling. He always has a smile on his face and makes the most out of every day! ⭐️The 5 Silver student of the week is Rosie. She always comes to school ready to learn and do her best. Rosie does a super job of following directions, being responsible and respectful. Also, she is a friend to everyone. Rosie is always willing to help her teachers and classmates. She does her best on all of her assignments and tests. We love having you on our 5 Silver team. Each team created a unique design, using what they learned to tackle the “troubling matter” in their samples. The creativity and problem-solving on display were incredible!
This week, students will be testing, analyzing, and improving their filter designs as they continue working toward cleaner water for all living things. 🌎✨
What a night for the 7th grade girls’ basketball teams!
