Our 8th-grade boys' basketball team played Scotus on Tuesday night. The C and B teams fought hard until the end but lost. The A team came out on top with a win over Scotus. Their final home game is Monday—make sure you go cheer them on! Go, Discoverers! 🏀

She’s helpful to her peers and teachers and follows the rules, making her a great example for her classmates. Her positive attitude and hard work make her a standout in class. ⭐️Bentley is our Maroon Student of the Week. He has a great outlook on his world, asks for clarification on concepts, and always helps his peers. He completes his work and is helpful to his teachers as well. We can trust that he is working at his fullest potential. Bentley is a great example to his peers and we are lucky to have him on our team! Congrats Bentley!

🎉 Congratulations to our February 3-7 Students of the Week! 🎉 5th Grade ⭐️Aliyah always comes to class with a cheerful attitude. She willingly jumps into tasks and topics needed in class. She stays on-task and gives her best effort. She makes the classroom a better and brighter place for everyone! Thanks, Aliyah! ⭐️Manuel is a kind and caring student who is always sweet to everyone around him. He stays on task and works hard to do his best. When he doesn’t understand something, he asks the teacher questions to make sure he succeeds. He is always one of the first ones on Boost at the beginning of WIN. His positive attitude and determination make him a great classmate!

Freshman Registration for current 8th-grade students and parents/guardians will be held at Columbus High School on Tuesday, February 11 and Thursday, February 13. Students with the last name A-K will attend with their parent/guardian on Tuesday, February 11 at 7:00 pm. Students with the last name L-Z will attend with their parent/guardian on Thursday, February 13 at 7:00 pm. Students and families will receive information on course registration, activities, and additional CHS information.

On January 31st, the student council hosted the 6th Grade Activity Night, where students had fun playing games and hanging out. Thank you to the student council for organizing this event!

🔬 5th-grade scientists in action! 🔬 In science class, students explored how matter changes state by melting solids into liquids. They weighed the matter before and after the change and discovered that—even though the state changed—the weight stayed the same! 📊 Students then graphed their data to analyze their findings.

This student is arguably believed to have what it takes to be a start student in his class. He may be quiet and timid but his intelligence shines the brightest. He is very responsible and never leaves any tasks or activities unfinished. This young guy always makes sure that he's on top of his class. This student consistently arrives to class with a positive attitude and a strong eagerness to learn. She is a dedicated worker who always ensures that both she and her group have a clear understanding of the material. He’s the kind of student who listens carefully and quietly takes in all the information. Even if he doesn’t always speak up in class, when it’s time for tests or quizzes, he shows just how much he knows by doing really well. His steady focus and hard work have been paying off! We love having you in class, Jameson! ⭐️Grace is our 6th Maroon Student of the Week! She brings a positive and energetic vibe to our classrooms. She is willing to help others around her, a problem solver, and an all around great person. She has a great outlook on life and will ask additional questions if needed. She is on task and gets her assignments done while putting 100% of the effort into it. We are lucky to have her!
