Congrats to our 7th grade boys basketball teams! The A, B, and C teams all won their games against Seward. The B and C team games were both close until the end, when they found a way to win. The A team pulled away in the second half for the victory. We are very proud of our 7th grade teams and wish them the best of luck in their next game! Go Discoverers!! 🏀🎉

Our wrestlers had an amazing meet yesterday, going up against Walnut, Barr, and Boone Central. Each and every one of our wrestlers had great matches. We are proud of them for putting up a fight every time they stepped onto the mat.

Student Council is hosting 6th Grade Activity Night this Friday, January 30th from 5:30 to 7:30. The cost of admission is $3.00 or a donation of two non-perishable food items. C-Stamps are not accepted. Students must have their ID to enter. There will be dodgeball, basketball, volleyball, Wii Dance, Ping Pong, Snack Walk, and Pizza!

Cold Day Board Games! Ms Ebel’s 7th-grade math students spent the cold day reviewing for their math test by playing a board game involving solving two-step inequalities.
Yesterday, our 8th grade boys basketball team played Walnut. All of our teams tried very hard and did their best. Unfortunately, both the C and B teams lost. Despite those losses, our A team pulled through and won! We are so proud of all of the teams for their effort and hard work. Go Discoverers! 🏀🎉
Marcia Lee and David Carr from the Central Platte Natural Resource District joined our 5th grade science classes this week! Students learned about water systems, runoff pollution, and even tested water samples from our local community. 💧🔬

Yesterday, our 8th grade basketball team played 🏀. The C team played hard but came up short by 1 point. Despite that, we are still proud of our team 🏅. The A and B teams also played but came up short as well. Despite the losses, we are proud of our basketball teams, and we know they will bring home a victory next time they play! 🎉

7th grade Pre-Algebra students spent the last two days creating life-sized “composite people” using specific geometric shapes. After building their figures, student teams calculated the area of each shape and then found the total area of their completed person. A fun, hands-on way to apply math concepts!
