We find Ms. Mohr's kindergarten students learning their letters. The students are split into groups during WIN time where they have a chance to practice What I Need. Some students were practicing letter sounds, others were practicing letter recognition, and others were practicing writing words.

Ms. Mohr's class of kindergarteners learned about 3D shapes. Ms. G (Ms. Mohr's student teacher) helped students learn the difference between green cubes, red cylinders, yellow cones, and blue spheres.

We visit Mrs. McCloud's classroom during center time. Some of the centers you'll see are: building blocks, a kitchen set, magnet tiles, and crafts. Students even got to cash in their Crusader Cash for something from the Crusader Cart!

Today in first grade art, each student was able to decorate a pumpkin to take home! I think we have some future artists in our building :)








Today on Eyewitness Emerson...
Mrs. McCloud's kindergarten students created surprise pumpkins! First, they colored their pumpkins. Next, they drew a surprise creature inside of their pumpkin. Finally, they were able to use their best cutting skills to make the surprise pumpkins come to life!

Emerson first graders had a great day on our field trip to the Lincoln Children's Zoo! We are looking forward to learning more about animals in Science this quarter!











Today was an EXCELLENT day for EYEWITNESS EMERSON! Mrs. McCloud's class of kindergarten students learned the letter 'E'! They practiced saying words with the 'e' sound, tracing the letter 'e' in the air, and completed an 'e' worksheet! Tune in tomorrow to see what EXCITING things they'll be learning next!
