7th grade Social Studies students have been studying inventions from Ancient China like fireworks, the compass, the seismograph, silk cloth, The Great Wall, The Terracotta Army, acupuncture, the iron plow, the parachute, and the kite! After researching an invention they wrote a paragraph explaining the similarities and differences of how the invention was used in Ancient China compared to today. When their research was finished they designed a "China" plate that showcased their invention in the style of blue and white pottery made in Ancient China.
