🎉 Congratulations to our February 24-28 Students of the Week! 🎉 6th Grade ⭐️Yoan is doing an great job working hard to improve his English and boost his grades. He is focused and eager to learn, putting in extra effort to understand new concepts. He does a good job of communicating with his teachers and is always excited to see the progress he’s making. Yoan’s teachers are so happy to see how much he has grown. ⭐️Jesslyn always putting 100% effort into her tasks. She isn't afraid to ask questions when needed, ensuring she fully understands the material and does her best to succeed. She is kind to others around her. On February 22nd Destination Imagination or DI had a regional competition where all teams moved on to state. DI is a global youth program that inspires kids to imagine things through the creative process. DI is open to all CPS students in 4th-12th grade. On April 5th DI will compete at UNK. Go Discoveres!

📖✨ The 8th graders are diving deep into The Outsiders! To wrap up the novel, students are creating Body Biographies—visual representations of a chosen character that highlight their traits, emotions, and journey throughout the story. We love seeing their creativity and insight come to life! 💡🎭

The CMS MathCounts team competed in the Northeast Nebraska Chapter Competition held at Central Community College (Columbus) this past weekend. The team of Lucis, David, Jaden, and Jai took second place in the team competition. CMS was also well represented in the individual countdown round competition! Other CMS MathCounts members include: Charley, Ryan, and Jhettsun. The 2nd place finish qualifies the team to compete at the state competition held in Lincoln on March 22nd. Go, Discoverers!

On February 13, the 8th grade boys basketball team played against Schuyler. A and B team both won.

Our 8th-grade boys' basketball team played Scotus on Tuesday night. The C and B teams fought hard until the end but lost. The A team came out on top with a win over Scotus. Their final home game is Monday—make sure you go cheer them on! Go, Discoverers! 🏀
