7th Grade Activity Night was a blast! 7th Graders got to play dodgeball, basketball, volleyball, ping pong, Wii Dance, and snack walk!
Due to the weather, 7th and 8th grade boys basketball games have been cancelled for today. 7th and 8th grade will have practice after school today from 3:30-5:30.

Columbus Middle School and the Columbus After School Program are presenting Charlotte's Web on Dec. 6th at 7:00PM and Dec. 7th at 2:00PM. Please come support our 5th and 6th grade students by attending this play. Admission: $5 for adults and $3 for students. CPS activity passes are accepted.
Due to the snow storm coming and early dismissal there will be NO girls basketball practice, wrestling practice, 5th grade DI practice or After School Program. Have a great Thanksgiving!!!!
On Friday, Nov. 22nd the CMS Student Council held the grand opening of the Discoverer Den. Students spent over 2,600 Discoverer Bucks to purchase items. Students earn Discoverer Bucks for being Safe, Respectful, Responsible, and Kind. It was a great success!
Due to increasing snowfall that is to begin around 3:00pm tomorrow, CMS will have a 2:35 dismissal tomorrow. We will follow our Wednesday schedule. We will not have school Wednesday-Friday. Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving. School will resume on Monday, Dec. 2nd.
Ten CMS students participated in the 2019 All-State Children's Choir, comprised of 350 fourth and fifth grade students representing 92 different schools throughout Nebraska. The guest director was composer Andy Beck. The students practiced for 7 weeks prior to the day long festival.
The Columbus Middle School Band hosted an Honor Band, Percussion Ensemble, and Drumline Experience for 7th and 8th graders on November 16. Over 100 students from 9 schools participated in the all day event that culminated with a public concert.
Student Council is opening up a School Store called the Discoverer Den! On Nov. 22nd we will be selling items for DISCOVERER BUCKS. The counselors will be posting the list of items and prices in the grade level Google Classrooms so students can plan in advance. On Dec. 6th we will be selling these same items for cash. The Discoverer Den will be located in the ticket booth at the activity entrance and will be open from 3:30-3:50pm on Nov. 22nd and Dec. 6th.
