It's hard to believe October is almost here and Fall is in the air! With more mild temperatures, it’s an ideal time of year to go on regular walks and bike rides. What a great way to get in some family exercise time!
In PE, students have worked on a variety of fundamental movements like running, skipping, galloping, jumping, hopping, changing speeds, levels and direction. Simple games are a staple at the beginning of the year to get the students moving as well. We’re currently working on soccer skills, with throwing/catching (football) activities next!
Body Trivia: What organ filters waste and removes water from your blood? Your kidneys!
Current/upcoming PE units: Soccer skills, Throwing/catching (football) activities
Footwear in PE: With all the moving we do in PE class, sneakers/athletic shoes always work best! Sandals and boots sure can be comfortable to wear, but in PE they don’t work as well as athletic shoes. If you wear sandals or boots to school, please bring your sneakers/athletic shoes in a bag to change in to before PE class.
