Hello! My name is Erin Settles. I have been married to my husband, Travis, for 15 years. We have three children: Tristan -12, Taetum - 11, and Laiklyn - 7. I graduated from Wayne State College in 2010. This is my second year in my current preschool position, but I have taught in various roles for a total of 9 years. In between, I was a stay-at-home mom for several years.
This year, I added our dramatic play center to our classroom. It has been a huge hit and something I am proud of. I've been absolutely blown away by the growth I've seen in my students! Preschoolers are such eager little learners, and it’s so heartwarming to watch them explore and discover new things. It’s truly a joy to see their excitement as they soak it all in! My favorite part of the day is our morning meeting, or circle time! I absolutely love seeing all my little friends gathered on the rug, bubbling with excitement to kick off our day together. They get so enthusiastic about answering my questions and sharing little snippets about their day so far. Circle time really is a fun time for everyone! Coming up in December is our Gingerbread unit!! This is my favorite unit! The apple unit has likely been my students' favorite because we had a dramatic play center in our classroom where they could sell apples.
I’m so lucky to have the best paraprofessionals! Ms. Logan is with me all day, Ms. Kristy joins us in the morning, and Ms. Jamie comes in for the afternoon class. We really make a great team and have so much fun working together! Having people I love to work with makes our classroom feel like a big family. It’s such a wonderful place to be! The thing I love most about working at Kramer is the people I work with. We have some fantastic individuals in this building.
