As a way to leave a mark and thank West Park Elementary for the many years it housed the Recently Arrived Program, Ms. Ortiz class painted the sign in front of our building. Come check it out! It looks beautiful!!

Due to the passing of LB 1107 in 2021 you can now claim a percentage of your property tax paid to schools on your state income tax. In 2023, those who pay property tax will be able to claim 30% of their property taxes paid to schools when they file their state income tax.

One of the big questions that we are receiving is "What is the breakdown of costs for each project that is included in the bond election"? The projects listed were determined following 18 months of community town hall meetings and surveys.

Youth track registration is now open! The first practice will be April 17th with the final meet on May 6th.

Hope to "Sea" you all at the Kdg., 1st & 2nd Grade Concert next Monday, March 27th!!!

Support West Park by eating out at Runza, Tuesday, March 21st, 4:00-8:00 p.m.!!

Don't forget tonight Dr. L will be hosting a community meeting that will discuss survey results, projects, finances and estimates!
Where: Columbus Middle School Cafeteria
When: 7:00pm

In honor of Read Across America Week, we are having a week's worth of activities at West Park. There is a note coming home with your child this week. Remember, dress up days are little added elements of fun. Students should still remember shoes and coats every day. And no face paint or body paint.

Please join us tonight at 6 pm in the media center. During presentations this week we will provide the requested cost estimates for the projects listed within the two narrowed down options. The District is in need of more help to further narrow down the possible projects.

Please join us for our next fundraiser night at Freddy's on February 7 from 4:00-8:00.
Freddy's will donate 15% of all sales to our West Park PTO for use to support our students and our school.
Remember to mention West Park when you are ordering!

Join us for tomorrow night's facebook live at 7:00 pm to learn more about the growth of Columbus Public Schools and it's future facility needs.

CPS Families:
After continued review of the weather data and snow clearing needs, there will be no school tomorrow, 1/19/23. Staff please check your email for more information regarding who must report. Students will return to class on Monday, 1/23/23.

Due to the uncertainty of the upcoming forecast and in conversation with the City of Columbus roads department we will be pushing back our decision until 10:00 pm tonight regarding whether or not we will close school.
