Emerson's Second graders went to Edgerton Explorit Center in Aurora for their field trip. Edgerton is where scientific discovery and hands-on exploration create a fantastic learning experience. Not only did the second graders have the chance to explore the over 35 hands-on science exhibits, but they were able to watch two science demonstrations.

One was called the FUNdamentals of Science, where they could use their senses to make observations about similarities and differences between different types of balls.

The second demonstration was called Arctic Blast, where they learned about the states of matter of water, dry ice, and liquid nitrogen. It was a fun day filled with exploration and learning!
