Fifth and sixth grade students at Columbus Middle School are auditioning for its annual fall play this week. The 5/6 Fall Play, in its sixth year, "Stuart Little."
The show goes big on the adventures of a little mouse who is adopted by a human family.
The show is scheduled for Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. and Dec. 3, at 2 p.m.
CMS Music teacher Steph Bourek Hoyt is this year's Play Director. Paraeducator Renee Reiners, is the Set Director and Special Education Teacher Maggie Langan, will serve as the assistant Play Director.
The cast list is to be posted Friday, Sept. 2. and practices will start up right after Labor Day.
Students practice Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after school from September through November.
Although all of the actors are in 5th and 6th grade, we do have some 7th and 8th grade students who had participated in the play previously serve as student leaders with the practices, help with set building, and backstage crew on the day of the show.
