A group of Columbus Middle School students participated in the Pender Honor Band on Monday. Twenty-seven sixth-graders were selected this year. Those students earned their place based on their musicianship and work ethic. CMS students are under the instruction of Kimberly Wilson and Michael Klee. Band members were rewarded with the chance to work with a clinician throughout the day. Klee led the Percussion Ensemble group. He was joined by Eric Fahrlander of Crete who worked with the sixth-graders and Nathan Lefeber of Pender who led the 5th-grade band.
