We ask our students to “Be A Discoverer” by being safe, respectful, responsible, and kind. Teachers recognize this positive behavior with Discoverer Bucks.
Students can do several things with their earned Discoverer Bucks. Each Friday we have a Discoverer Buck drawing at lunch. Students can earn prizes such as free a la carte, fun size candy bar, eraser, or the coveted fast pass to the front of the lunch line for a week.
Students can also spend their Discoverer Bucks in our Discoverer Den throughout the year. The Discoverer Den is operated by our Student Council. It is opened quarterly for students to spend their “bucks.” Students can buy candy, school supplies, T-shirts, fun gadgets, etc. We have Black Friday-style lines to purchase things from the Discoverer Den.
At the end of each quarter we celebrate with a Discoverer Buck reward. Students can buy a wristband for 5 Discoverer Bucks to join in on the fun. This quarter we had card games and board games in classrooms with teachers and Dodgeball and Knockout in the gyms.
We were not able to have large rewards like this last year due to COVID so our students really enjoyed a fun game of Dodgeball. Our students do a great job of being safe, respectful, responsible, and kind to earn their Discoverer Bucks. It is fun to then celebrate these positive behaviors.
