Over the past 13 years this choir service project has raised over $80,000. These students have helped to drill one water well in Malawi. With this year's funds they will now have enough to cover the cost of drilling two more wells! To date this project has helped provide gifts and needs for over 1,100 children in the Columbus community through the Holiday Spirit Coop program.
In speaking with Ms. Celeste Ditter, CMS Vocal Music Teacher, "This service project is a culmination of many amazing community members trusting our middle school children and donating to the cause. We are grateful to the administration and staff at CMS for being huge supporters of this service project. This project is special, but we don't want this year to be just a moment in time when we were giving. I want this to be a representation of a LIFE OF GIVING to others. Loving others through service is lifelong, and I hope that remains true for both myself, the students, and every person who became a part of this service project."
