Ticket sales for the Jan. 21 Winter Informal begin next week during lunch and before or after school. Tickets are $10. Information about the dance has been shared with your teachers and is posted in your building Google classrooms.


SENIORS who are planning to attend CCC in the Fall should stop by the counseling office to pick up a scholarship application for the "COMMITTED TO YOUR SUCCESS" scholarship worth up to $1,000.  Deadline to submit the application is January 25th.


Kawasaki Field trip: Any 10th-12th grader interested in a career in engineering, math, science, business, autos, electronics or communications needs to pick up a permission slip form from Ms. Seehusen.   The field trip will be on Tuesday, January 24th and space is limited for the student opportunity.


There will be an FCCLA meeting in Ms. Jaixen's room on Tuesday, January 17th after school. 



If you are bringing a non CHS student to the winter dance, you will need to complete the guest permission form. These forms are available in the office from Ms. Maass. They are due no later than Friday, January 13. Questions, please see Ms. Maass.  

As a reminder, if you owe detention time minutes, they must be under 180 minutes along with all fines must be paid before you can purchase a dance ticket.



FCCLA will be hosting a food drive on Friday, January 20, from 5:00-9:00pm. One can of food donated - equals one ticket to enter a chance to win a handmade set of CPS themed cornhole boards!

  • Seniors please report directly to the auditorium during homeroom today, January 9 and sit by homeroom. Your homeroom teacher will take attendance in the auditorium during the presentation.  
  • STRIVE tutoring will not meet on Monday, January 9th.  STRIVE tutors and tutees will continue meeting on Monday, January 16th.
  • On Monday, January 9th, there will be a boys track meeting after school in room G231.  This meeting is for those not involved in a winter activity.  Pre-season workouts will be discussed. If you cannot attend, please contact Coach Bethune for information.

  • All boys interested in playing golf this spring, please plan to attend a brief meeting after school Wednesday, Jan 11 at 2:45pm, in Coach Robertson's classroom G223.  If you are unable to attend, please contact Coach Robertson.


Thursday, January 12

  • Sophomores please report directly to the auditorium during homeroom today, January 12, for your Jostens presentation and sit by homeroom. Your homeroom teacher will take attendance in the auditorium during the presentation.  
  • All grades interested in becoming members of BIONIC, this semester is your chance! Join us for our meeting on Thursday, January 12th, in the cafeteria during homeroom, to learn what we do and the opportunity to ask questions. Hope to see you there!

Sunday, January 15

  • Come watch cheer and dance teams from around the area perform.  Cheer on our Diamond Dancers and support the CHS Band's Sundae Fundae at the annual Diamond Dancer's Jam the Gym event, on Sunday January 15th, from 2-5 pm in the CHS gym and cafeteria. See you all there! Dancers twirling and ice cream swirling. Jam the Gym for Diamond's fun day, and while you're there, enjoy a sundae!
