October 31 is a long time to prepare a speech on "Why is the Veteran Important".  Students interested in competing in the Voice of Democracy Audio Essay Competition should stop by the counseling office to pick up an application.  Grand prize is $30,000.   CHS has had several students win in the past - try your talent at a chance for money!!!

A representative from UNL will be here to speak specifically about the Honors Program on the UNL campus.  If you would like to hear the information, please go to your counseling google classroom to get the link to register.  Only those who have pre-registered will be able to attend.

  • Picture retake day is on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 after school.  If you are doing retakes, please remember to bring back your original picture packet and give it to the photographer.  If you are a new student or did not have your photo taken the first time the photographer was here, you will need to have your photo taken.  You may order and pay online at the studio's website prior to having your photo taken. Photos will be taken in the IMC.

  • National Honor Society would like to congratulate the  Staff Members of the Month.  For the month of August, the winner was Mr. Seth Kirkegaard, and September was Mrs. Jenny French.  Congratulations to both of these amazing people for their service to the students of Columbus High School.  If you see either of them today, congratulate them in person!
