For all boys interested in playing tennis this fall, there will be an informational meeting on Monday, May 16 after school in room G231. Summer tennis opportunities will be discussed. If you cannot make it please contact Coach Bethune.

If you wish to develop your leadership skills and enjoy working with children, STEM on the Go has the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. STEM On the Go is looking for high school students to serve as STEM camp counselors the mornings of June 20-23 at CMS. If interested or would like more information, contact Ms. Wickens in room G-114 or at wickensd@discoverers.org.


Attention current juniors: If you wish to graduate at mid-term next year, and you will meet graduation requirements by December, your application to indicate this is due by the last day of school this year. Contact Mrs. Loeffelholz with any questions.


Reminder: There is a mandatory meeting on Monday, May 16 in the auditorium for all CHS students going on the CAG summer college tour. The meeting starts at 3:45PM and will end at 4:20PM. Questions, please contact Ms. Seehusen.


Attention boys interested in playing American Legion Baseball this summer. Tryouts are Wednesday, May 18 and Thursday, May 19 at Pawnee Park. The times are from 4:15pm - 6:15pm each day. If you have questions, contact Coach Johnson.



There will be a meeting for all girls planning to lift weights this summer right after school on Tuesday, May 17th in the cafeteria. This meeting will last about 15 minutes.


Seniors, if you have an IMC fine, please pay it before Wednesday's checkout in order to have a smoother check-out process. If you are unsure about having a fine or the amount owed, please email or stop in to see Mrs. Wagner or Mrs. Wallin.

Wednesday, May 11

  • For those of you that did not know we started a Girls Wrestling program this year and we are already looking forward to next year. Any Girls who will be in 9-12th grade for the 2022-23 school year that are interested in Wrestling, we will have a brief meeting on Wednesday May 11th after school. We will meet in Room A119 and get you some information about what you need to do to join next season. If you have any questions email Coach Keiswetter at keiswettera@discoverers.org
  • Boys interested in playing Basketball next year, there will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 11th at 2:40pm. The meeting will take place in Hitchcock's room, 204C. The summer schedule will be discussed. The coaching staff looks forward to seeing you there.
  • There will be a meeting for all athletes planning on going out for Cross Country next year in room A119 right after school on Wednesday, May 11th. This meeting will last about 15 minutes. If you cannot attend the meeting please see Coach Smith or Coach Sander.

Thursday, May 12

  • Seniors, please turn in your application for the Senior Graduation Walk for the elementary and middle schools to Mrs. Wallin in the IMC by 4:00 Thursday, May 12.
  • The art department invites you to check out the spring 2022 art show. The artwork of CHS's talented art students will be on display in the IMC starting Thursday, the 12th, through Monday, the 16th. The show will also be open to the public on Monday, the 16th, from 6:00-8:00. Come see paintings, drawings, ceramics, photography, digital art, plus collections by this semester's featured artists: Kaylee Gerber, Heather Magg, Jerry Martinez, and Nicole Vidal. Friday, May 13

  • Just a reminder that all library books will need to be turned in this week by Friday May 13.
  • Attention, all students. Looking for a fright this Friday the 13th? Student Council is hosting a movie night showing the spine-chilling movie Insidious from 8:00 to 10:00 pm in the auxiliary gym. Doors will open at 7:45. Tickets will be sold at the door for $2. Be sure to bring your school id for entrance. Please park in the teacher parking lot and use the back doors to enter the cafeteria. Concessions will be available.
