Seniors, the last day to report scholarship awards is Monday, April 11th in order to be recognized at Honors Night. Anything received after that date cannot be included in the Honors Program so please refer to the google form shared in google classroom to find the form to report awards.

Attention Juniors & Seniors: The $250 Summer Scholarship application at CCC opens March 2nd and can be used for CCC summer courses. The deadline to apply is April 15th. The application can be found on the CCC website or email Ms. Loeffelholz for the link.
If you are interested in finding out more about a career as a Physical Therapist assistant, stop in the counseling office or email your counselor to sign up to listen to a short presentation on this career opportunity.
Are you interested in a career in the military? Do you need assistance in finding a career that is just for you? If you are in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, then this announcement is for you! On the morning of April 13th the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, otherwise referred to as the ASVAB test will be given in the IMC from 8:30-11:30am. This test is the most widely used aptitude test that measures your strengths, weaknesses, and potential for future success. The ASVAB just doesn't tell you what you are currently good at, it will also tell you what you may be good at learning. To sign up to take the ASVAB test on April 13th please stop by the school counseling office and sign up with Ms. Uchtman by Wednesday, April 6th.
Just a reminder that Wednesday, April 13, is a 2:35 pm dismissal. No school on Thursday, April 14 through Monday, April 18, for Easter break. School will resume on Tuesday, April 19, with a 3:40 dismissal.

If you are bringing a non CHS student to prom, you will need to complete the guest permission form. These forms are available in the office from Ms. Maass, or you may download the form from the website or the link in the bulletin. They are due no later than Wednesday, April 13. Questions, please see Ms. Maass. Also, please remember you must have your fines paid along with ASD time under 180 minutes to attend the dance. Post Prom is approaching fast. This year’s Post Prom is on Saturday, April 23. If you have not ordered your Post Prom T-Shirt and would like a shirt, orders are due no later than April 3. You do not need a T-Shirt to attend this event. You may also order these shirts for your guest if you wish.

Tuesday, April 5
- Columbus High School will be conducting the statewide ACT test for all CHS Juniors on April 5, 2022
- ACT and PreACT Test rooms and seat numbers information will be posted in the cafeteria, the counseling office area, and in your counseling google classroom. Make sure you know where to go for testing to avoid being late. Also, no cell phones, smart watches, fitbits, and backpacks allowed. Items to bring:
- Picture ID
- Scientific Calculator
- #2 Pencils
- If you wish, you may bring water and a snack for break.
- The CHS cafeteria will be serving breakfast tomorrow, Tuesday, April 5, from 7:00 to 7:30 am.
- Juniors take the ACT at CHS.
- 9th, 10th and 12th grade students will not be attending school on this date.
- Juniors should arrive at 7:30AM so that testing can begin on time.
- Students should make sure to keep their cell phones and smart watches at home.
- Juniors will be dismissed at the conclusion of the ACT test.
- Students will have a lunch period that is included in the testing schedule.
Wednesday, April 6
- All students will be in attendance.
- CHS will have a 2:35 dismissal.
- 9th grade students will take the PreACT test in the morning. They will attend their afternoon classes as scheduled.

- Both girls' Varsity and JV soccer games against Lincoln Northeast have been cancelled today.

- Tennis tournament for today, April 7, has been postponed.
Friday, April 8
- Juniors and Seniors: Last week, you received information about pre-ordering your prom tickets. You have until Friday to do that if you are interested. See your email or your building Classroom page for details!
- Students: The last day to withdraw enrollment from a CCC class is April 8th. You will remain in the CHS class but this will prevent a low grade from being on your college transcript.
- Applications are now open for the 2022 University of Nebraska-Lincoln Discover Accounting and DREAMBIG Academy pre-college summer programs. These free programs provide a great opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to learn about the world of business and how to leverage their strengths. Applications for both programs are due April 8, 2022. Contact your counselor for more information.
