The weight room will be open after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for open lifting from 3:45 to 4:45 pm during the months of December, January, February, and March.



Are you interested in writing for your CHS newspaper? CHS Anchor News is looking for a few motivated individuals to help tell the story of Columbus High School through articles, videos, and social media. If that sounds like your cup of tea, please send a politely worded email to Mr. McDonald requesting an application. Applications are due 2/22/2022.


There will be a Girls Track meeting on February 15 for all girls interested in going out for track at 7:45 AM OR 3:45 PM in Mr. Bills's room (F173). Please try your best to make either the morning or afternoon meeting. If you can't make either meeting, please contact Coach Kreikemeier at kreikemeierj@discoverers.org.


CandyGrams will be on sale beginning Monday! CandyGrams are a full sized candy (Plain M&M's, Peanut M&M's, Reece's Peanut Butter Cup, Snickers or Skittles)! 

You can buy a CandyGram on January 31, February 1 and February 2. The CandyGrams will be delivered to homerooms on Tuesday, February 8.

  • Two CandyGrams-$3.00 
  • Three CandyGrams-$4.00 

CandyGram sales will take place in the morning beginning at 7:30 and during all four lunches (A, B, C, D). Look for the decorated table in the entry hallway. Show a CHS student or staff member you are thinking about them. Buy a candy treat for them! Thanks for your support of our fundraiser!

Habitat For Humanity is in need of student volunteers. They are an organization that provides homes for families in need. There are many ways in which you could support this organization. If you are interested and would like information about an upcoming meeting please email or contact Sarah Lasso.



The Health and Public Services Virtual Career Day at Northeast is February 22nd. If interested in attending this virtual event, check out the post in the college and career google classroom for more information.


Parent Teacher conferences are being held February 9 and 10. Wednesday, February 9 is a 3:40 p.m. dismissal. No school for students on Thursday, February 10 through Monday, February 14. Please click here for additional conference and schedule information.

  • Students interested in being a part of next year's yearbook staff should plan to attend a meeting after school in G236 on Tuesday, February 1, to learn about the application process.  If you have questions or cannot attend, please contact Mrs. Kwapnioski.

  • Attention BIONIC members: There will be a meeting Thursday, February 3, before school at 7:40 am in the counseling office classroom.
