The weight room will be open after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for open lifting from 3:45 to 4:45 pm during the months of December, January, February, and March.

Attention sophomores! Another leadership opportunity is available for you. Nebraska Leadership Seminar cultivates young leaders of Nebraska in an atmosphere of personal discovery and skills development. Winter Informal ticket sales are on sale now through Thursday after school for $8 in the cafeteria during lunch and before or after school. Tickets will not be sold at the door the night of the dance. Please bring your mask, ID, ticket, signed waiver, money for concessions, and positive attitude with you to the dance!

If you are interested in a cosmetology career, please stop by Ms. Seehusen's office and pick up a permission slip to visit College of Hair Design this semester. This opportunity is for any 9th-12th grader who is interested.

Monday, January 24

  • Attention, all students. Do you like to dance the night away with an amazing DJ? Do you like to compete against your friends playing a variety of games from Cornhole to Spikeball to Super Smash Brothers or racing through a 40 foot obstacle course? Do you like to win prizes such as gift cards, a 50" TV, or a Nintendo Switch? Then, this year's Student Council's Winter Informal dance held on January 29 from 9:00 to 12:00 might be for you! Yes, you heard that right - Winter INFORMAL, a dance where you can come dressed in regular school attire such as jeans and a t-shirt or in fancy dress clothes. Our $8 tickets will be sold Tuesday through Thursday this week during lunch and before or after school. However, you have a chance to win a free ticket by finding 1 of 8 blue sled cutouts that are hidden around the building for you to find TODAY ONLY. A picture of this cutout can be seen in your building Google classroom, so you will know what to look for. If you find one of the cutouts, bring it to the IMC to receive your free ticket to the dance!
  • Attention, seniors who owe minutes. You MUST clear your first semester minutes by February 4. You can serve these minutes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school or on the 2 upcoming Fridays (1/28 and 2/4) from 8:00 to noon. Please remember that no one can walk in the graduation ceremony in May if you owe minutes. If you are unsure about owing minutes, please check your gmail for an email from Mrs. Leifeld because she will have sent every senior an email by Tuesday morning to let you know if you owe time.
  • SENIORS who plan to attend CCC next fall are encouraged to apply for a scholarship worth up to $1000. Stop by or email Mrs. Loeffelholz for an application. The due date for the application is Monday, January 24th.
  • The 2025 Cohort, this year's freshmen will all meet in the CHS auditorium during Homeroom on Monday, January 24th for their registration informational presentation.  All current 9th graders and all 9th grade HR teachers need to go directly to the auditorium at that time.

  • The theme for Tuesday's wrestling meet on January 25th is dress like Calvin Mustard. See you at the meet.

Wednesday, January 26

  • Girls interested in going out for Tennis this spring there will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, January 26 after school in the cafeteria with Coach Liebhart. If you are unable to make it, please email Coach Liebhart at leibhartk@discoverers.org.

Thursday, January 27
