The weight room will be open after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for open lifting from 3:45 to 4:45 pm during the months of December, January, February, and March.

- Monday: Pizza Pasta Bake with Garlic Breadstick
- Tuesday: Soft Shell Beefy Tacos
- Wednesday: Creamy Macaroni & Cheese with Dinner Roll
- Thursday: Turkey & Gravy with Dinner Roll
- Friday: Toasted Cheese Sandwich with Creamy Tomato Soup
If you are bringing a non CHS student to the winter dance, you will need to complete the guest permission form. These forms are available in the office from Ms. Maass, or you may download the form from the website or the link in the bulletin. They are due no later than Friday, January 21. Last Call for SkillsUSA. Anyone interested in joining SkillsUSA should plan on attending a meeting on Monday, January 17, at 6:30 p.m. in Mr. Dodson's room H111. Registration and dues of $20.00 will also take place at that time. In addition, we will begin registering for the State Skills and Leadership Conference in Grand Island April 7th-9th. If for some reason you cannot attend, please see Mr. Dodson before Monday so we can make arrangements.
Just a reminder that all registration forms for dual-credit courses are due to the counseling office by Thursday, January 20th. If you aren't sure if you are registered for a class, go into your CANVAS account with CCC to see what classes show as being registered. Any questions can be directed to your counselor or Mrs. Loeffelholz in the counseling office.
Tuesday, January 11
- On Tuesday, January 11th, there will be an informational meeting for all boys interested in joining the track team this spring who are not involved in a winter sport. The meeting will take place in Room G231 after school. If you cannot make it, please contact Coach Bethune for information.
Thursday, January 13
- Attention all seniors: "Show me the money: Senior Scholarship Event" will be held on Thursday, January 13th from 5PM-7PM in the IMC. The English and Counseling department will be there to help seniors submit scholarships for college. The Buffett Scholarship and the Columbus Foundation scholarship are two of the many scholarships seniors may want to apply for during this event. If interested, bring your computer and your first drafts of any/all essays you plan to submit. Food will be provided to all who participate in this exciting event!
- Juniors and Seniors - The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is coming to CHS to provide you with an amazing opportunity to practice your interview and resume skills. Mock Interviews and Resume Reviews will take place the morning of January 18th. Taking the time to practice for a job interview will help you feel comfortable during a real interview, enhance your interview skills, and increase your chances of getting your dream job offer. If you would like to participate in this great opportunity, please sign up by January 13th by filling out the form in your Counseling Google Classroom. Contact Ms. Wickens or Ms. Gable with questions or for more information.
- All boys going out for soccer there will be a short meeting in the cafeteria after school Thursday (January 13).
Friday, January 14
- The theme for Friday's basketball games on January 14th is ESPN game day. Come and support your fellow students.
Saturday, January 15
- The theme for Saturday's wrestling meet on January 15th is Maroon out. See you at the HAC meet.
