Columbus High School

Mr. Loeffelholz recently took engineering students to UNL to learn more about the College of Engineering and participate in hands-on demonstrations.  While on the field trip CHS students calculated water flow in a pipe using three different methods, learned the basics of distillation and watched how vapor and liquid behave in a distillation column.  Student also operated flow valves to maintain a tank level.  While at UNL students toured several other labs in the College of Engineers and participated in a Q & A session with UNL college students.
