Seniors: Just a reminder that your senior photos are due December 3. Click the link here or your google classroom for additional information. 21-22 Senior Photo Information


Students: Please check your email multiple times a day as this is the way you will receive messages from the high school office along with school information.


The start of the winter sports season is Nov. 15. All athletes planning to participate on the first day need to complete these 3 steps. 

1. Register for their sport/activity on SmartSchool-K12  

2. Turn in a physical to the activities desk 

3. Purchase a C-stamp at the activities desk

There will be an informational meeting for any student interested in going out for powerlifting on Thursday, November 4th at 4:00 pm in the Cafeteria. Please contact Mrs. Riedmiller if you cannot attend, but are still interested.


SENIORS:  if you are interested in attending an information session regarding the Columbus Public Schools Foundation scholarship application, please stop by Mrs. Loeffelholz's office to pick up a pass to allow you to attend.  The informational meeting is being held Monday, November 1st, during homeroom in the auditorium.

You will show the pass to your homeroom teacher on Thursday, October 28, so they know not to count you absent on Monday.  During the informational meeting, a form will be released to confirm your attendance.


Educators Rising and FBLA are doing a Canned Food Drive November 1 to November 12. It will be a competition between homeroom classes. The winning homeroom will receive prizes. Each time you bring in a canned food item, your name will be entered in a drawing for a bigger prize. Drop off your canned food items before school in the cafeteria.


The 2021 CHS Variety Show will be taking place on Friday, November 12, at 7:00pm.  This event is designed to give students who have unique gifts and abilities a chance to be recognized for their achievements.  This includes, but is not limited to, singing, dancing, acting, playing any instrument, performing your own songs or writings, magic, juggling, weird sports tricks, cup stacking...anything that you would like to show off!  3rd place in this event will score $50, 2nd place will score $75, and 1st place will score $100.  Students should email Mr. Ritter for more information.  The deadline for submitting an audition recording is Thursday, November. 4.




Tuesday, October 26th

  • Are you interested in a career in the military? Do you need assistance in finding a career that is just for you? If you are in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, then this announcement is for you! On the morning of November 2nd, the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, otherwise referred to as the ASVAB test will be given in the IMC from 8:30-11:30am. This test is the most widely used aptitude test that measures your strengths, weaknesses, and potential for future success. The ASVAB just doesn't tell you what you are currently good at, it will also tell you what you may be good at learning. If you are serious about joining the military or want to find a career that fits you, then you need to get serious about the ASVAB! To sign up to take the ASVAB test on November 2nd, please stop by the school counseling office and sign up with Ms. Uchtman or Ms. Sylvester by Tuesday, October 26th.
  • Anyone interested in joining the swim team this year there will be a parent meeting at 6pm on Tuesday, October 26th, in the cafeteria. This short meeting will cover important information. If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Dillon at Dillona@discoverers.org
  • To sign up to take the ASVAB test on November 2nd, please stop by the school counseling office and sign up with Ms. Uchtman or Ms. Sylvester by Tuesday, October 26th.

Thursday, October 28th

  • The Fall Activity Pep Rally will take place on Thursday, October 28, during homeroom (10:00-10:32am).  Students should plan on going directly to the main gym at the start of homeroom.  Parents are welcome to attend and will sit on the southwest section of the gym.
  • The CHS state football playoff shirts are finished.  SpecialTee will be delivering them to the high school today.  They can be picked up during the lunch periods.

Friday, October 29th

  • No school for students on Friday, October 29th, to allow for additional professional learning, teacher and/or staff work time, or time for teachers to consult with parents/caregivers. School will resume on Monday, November 1, with a regular day.
