· Seniors: The CPS Foundation will be presenting in homeroom on Wednesday, November 13th.
· Seniors & Juniors: The UNL School of Business will be presenting during B lunch on Thursday, November 14.
Come one, come all to see Columbus High School's production of Cinderella! Shows are Friday, November 8 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, November 9 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm at Nantkes Performing Arts Center at CMS. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students, and a C-Stamp will get you in for free. Nearly 70 students have put in a ton of work to give you a great show!
Auditions for the competitive a cappella groups Baker's Dozen and Neptune's Angels will be held on Wednesday, November 13 at 4:00pm in the CHS Choir room. Audition materials are currently available online and in the choir room. You do not have to be a current member of a CHS Choir class to audition. Interested students should email Mr. Ritter for more information.
The CHS Variety Show will take place on Monday, November 25 in the CHS Concert Hall. It will feature performances by a variety of student groups and many gifted performers competing for big prizes! Auditions are being accepted online now through Friday, November 15. Students can scan the QR code on the hallway posters or email Mr. Ritter for more information.
Attention, seniors. Report to the auditorium for homeroom on Tuesday, November 12, in order to hear information about ordering your graduation gear from Jostens.

There will be a student and parent bowling meeting on Monday, November 4 at 6:00 p.m. in the CHS cafeteria. If you have questions, please email Coach Jaster at: jasterrb@discoverers.org.
If you are interested in participating in Powerlifting, please come to an informational meeting after school on Monday, November 4th starting at 4:00 in the auditorium. Email Mrs. Riedmiller if you cannot attend at riedmillerk@discoverers.org.
Any boy interested in playing basketball this winter, there will be an informational meeting in Coach Sliva's room, D113 on Monday November 4 right after school. If you cannot make it, please contact Coach Sliva.
Tuesday, November 5
Students, Tuesday, November 5th is election day. CHS will be hosting the election and community members will be voting in the IMC. A couple of reminders for students:
Parking along the north side of the student lot will be blocked off for voter parking.
Seniors, plan to park in the Senior/Band lot so that there is enough parking.
Students If you are registered to vote, and your polling location is CHS. please enter through the outside IMC doors. You will not be allowed to enter through the building into the IMC. Thank you.
Wednesday, November 6
Students: Just a reminder that Wednesday, November 6, will be the Wednesday bell schedule. Also, no school for students on Friday, November 8. School will resume on Monday, November 11.
Remember to eat foods high in iron as well as drink lots of water if your are donating blood for the blood drive.
The Discoverer bands are hosting an informational meeting for any student wishing to participate in our Winter Color Guard on Wednesday, November 6, immediately after school in the band room. This competitive group will compete during the winter season and is open, by audition, to any CHS student. Stop by the band room on Wednesday, November 6, to learn more.
For boys wanting to show off their volleyball skills, Iron Man Volleyball is for you. Iron-Man Volleyball will be November 11-12 from 4-6 pm. Create a team of 6-8 students per team. Cost is $5 a person. Captain meeting is Wednesday, November 6th, immediately after school in the IMC. If you have any questions, see Ms. Wallin or Mr. Sander.

No school for students on Friday, November 8. School will resume on Monday, November 11.
Sophomores: your HOBY application is due on Friday, November 8th, by 4 pm. If you are interested in learning about HOBY, please stop by Mr. Beltran's office.
Seniors: Friday, November 8 is the deadline to register for the December ACT. This is the final opportunity for many of you to raise your score for a chance at admission and/or scholarships. See your counselor if you need a waiver.
