Students: Just a reminder you can always see the daily announcements on the high school website under news.


Students: Please check your email and E-hall pass multiple times a day as this is the way you will receive messages from the high school office regarding appointments, items dropped off, etc. along with other school information.


Students! Be sure to check out chsanchornews.org - it's your online school paper and the source for all the news at CHS. 

 


Students: Please take a moment and check your address in your Synergy Student View under "School Information" tab. If your address is incorrect, please stop by the counseling office.


CHS is hosting its annual blood drive on Wednesday, November 6. If you are 17 years or older and are interested in donating blood, please visit Mrs. Pelc or Mrs. Riedmiller to get a consent form and sign up for a timeslot. If you have already signed up for a time, please pickup a consent form this week or you will not be able to donate. 


If any junior is interested in attending County Government Day on Wednesday October 23rd, there will be a brief informational meeting Thursday, October 17th after school in Mr. Wayman's room, G138. If you have any questions, email Mr. Wayman or attend the meeting for more information.


Attention class of 2025:  We will be doing a senior photo of the Class of 2025 on October 24th during homeroom.  Look for details in your counseling and building classrooms.  


If you have completed Health Science one, or are currently taking Health Science One; and wish to be considered for the Certified Nursing Assistant classes here at CHS next semester; please stop by Ms. Kallhoff's room C-111 to pick up the necessary form to apply. Forms are available through October 21st and due no later than October 22nd. There will be an informational meeting on October 17th after school in Ms. Kallhoff's room #C-111 to answer any questions.


Picture retake day is on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, after school in the IMC (2:35-4:00pm).  If you are doing retakes, please remember to bring back your original picture packet and give it to the photographer.  If you are a new student or did not have your photo taken the first time the photographer was here, you will need to have your photo taken.  You may order and pay online at the studio's website prior to having your photo taken.

Attention, seniors. Jostens will be here November 12 to explain cap and gown ordering instructions during your homeroom. Orders will be taken shortly thereafter.

  • Students, a reminder that. Monday, October 14th, there is no school for CPS students as it is a teacher workday.

Wednesday, October 16

  • Juniors! It's time to start planning prom! If you'd like to be part of the committee, please attend a meeting on Wednesday, 10/16, at 7:40 in room G236. If you cannot attend, please email Ms. Velasco or Ms. Kwapnioski for details.

  • CHS will host a swim and dive meeting on Wednesday, October 16th in CHS commons at 2:45 PM. All student-athletes interested in joining the swim and dive team should attend. If you cannot attend the meeting or have questions, please email Coach Janicek (janicekt@discoverers.org) or Coach Bates (batesm@discoverers.org).

Friday, October 18

  • The ASVAB test, or Armed Services Vocational Abilities Battery, will be held at CHS on Tuesday, October 22, from 8:15 to 11:15 a.m. The ASVAB, or Armed Services Vocational Abilities Battery, assesses students' skills and interests. It can help students identify potential career fields and understand where they are most trainable. The ASVAB also determines military enlistees' eligibility and job training.

    • The ASVAB is available to 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. Please stop by the school counseling office to sign up by Friday, October 18. Reach out to Ms. Brown if you have any questions.
