Calling all CHS singers!  Auditions for the competitive a cappella singing groups Baker's Dozen and Neptune's Angels will take place on Tuesday, November 7 at 6:30pm in the CHS Choir Room.  Audition information can be found in your graduation class Google Classroom.  You do not need to be a current member of a choir class to audition.  Please email or speak to Mr. Ritter if you have any questions.


UNL will be here next Monday, October 30, during junior and senior homeroom to talk about their Honors program and their ACE requirements that can be completed in high school.  If you are interested in attending the presentation, please go to the College & Career google classroom to sign up.

Columbus High School is excited to announce The Addams Family as this year's musical production. 

Dates & Times:  Friday, November 3, 2023 at 7:00pm and Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.

Venue: Nantkes Perform Arts Center at Columbus Middle School.

Admission: $7 adults, $4 for students, free admission with C-Stamp     



There will be an informational meeting for girls and boys bowling on Tuesday, October 31, at 3:50pm. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria. If you have questions or unable to attend the meeting, please email Coach Jaster at: jasterrb@discoverers.org


HOBY is a state leadership seminar for current 10th graders. HOBY's purpose is to empower students to develop leadership talents. CHS will sponsor one 10th grade student to attend this year's event.  You must attend the seminar in early June. The application is due October 31st.   • Picture retake day is on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, beginning at 2:45pm in the IMC till all students have had their photos taken.  If you are doing retakes, please remember to bring back your original picture packet and give it to the photographer.  If you are a new student or did not have your photo taken the first time the photographer was here, you will need to have your photo taken.  You may order and pay online at the studio's website prior to having your photo taken. The new order code sheet that can be picked up in the main office. 
  • Come out and support your CHS girls volleyball team as they host Omaha Marion tonight in district volleyball at 5:00pm. Since this is a district event, C-Stamps are not allowed for entry. Student admission is $5.00.

  • Any student that is interested in trying out for the 2023/24 powerlifting team, there will be an informational meeting this Thursday, October 26, in the IMC at 4:00 pm. Please contact Mrs. Riedmiller, if you cannot attend.
  • 9th and 10th grade students are invited to attend an informational session on scholarships on Friday, October 27 during homeroom. If you are interested in attending, please complete the form posted in your counseling Google classroom. Space is limited, the deadline for registering is noon on Thursday, October 26.
