There's still time for juniors and seniors to sign up for the Close Up trip to Washington, DC in March. Reach out to Mr. Coan or Ms. Lenser for information about signing up. Interested students should return sign up sheets to Mr. Coan in G137 by Friday, October 20th


Are you interested in a career in the military? Do you need assistance in finding a career that is just for you?  If you are in 10th, 11th, or 12th grades, then this announcement is for you!

On the morning of October 24th, the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, otherwise referred to as the ASVAB test will be given in the IMC from 8:30-10:55 am. This test is the most widely used aptitude test that measures your strengths, weaknesses, and potential for future success. The ASVAB just doesn't tell you what you are currently good at, it will also tell you what you may be good at learning. If you are serious about joining the military or want to find a career that fits you, then you need to get serious about the ASVAB! 

To sign up to take the ASVAB test on October 24th  please stop by the school counseling office and sign up with Ms. Uchtman or Ms. Villanueva by Friday, October 19th.


Picture retake day is on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, beginning at 2:45pm in the IMC till all students have had their photos taken.  If you are doing retakes, please remember to bring back your original picture packet and give it to the photographer.  If you are a new student or did not have your photo taken the first time the photographer was here, you will need to have your photo taken.  You may order and pay online at the studio's website prior to having your photo taken. The new order code sheet that can be picked up in the main office. 



HOBY is a state leadership seminar for current 10th graders. HOBY's purpose is to empower students to develop leadership talents. CHS will sponsor one 10th grade student to attend this year's event.  You must attend the seminar in early June. The application is due October 31st. See or email Ms. Seehusan for additional information.

  • There will be an FCCLA meeting on Tuesday, October 10th at 6:30 pm in Miss Jaixen's room (G113) If you are going to DLC this is a required meeting.
