Students: Please check your email and E-hall pass multiple times a day as this is the way you will receive messages from the high school office regarding appointments, items dropped off, etc. along with other school information.

The PSAT will be held at CHS on October 14, 2023, this year.  Any 11th or 10th grader who wants to participate in the PSAT should go to their counselor and get a PSAT waiver.   There are 60 total spots for this event.


Anyone interested in attending the March Close Up trip to Washington, DC should talk to Mr. Coan in room G137 for more information. Students who have already received the sign-up sheet should return those completed forms to Mr. Coan as soon as possible.


Picture retake day is on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, after school in the IMC.  If you are doing retakes, please remember to bring back your original picture packet and give it to the photographer.  If you are a new student or did not have your photo taken the first time the photographer was here, you will need to have your photo taken.  You may order and pay online at the studio's website prior to having your photo taken. The new order code sheet that can be picked up in the main office or the counseling office. 



There will be an FCCLA meeting on Tuesday, September 26th at 6:30 p.m. in G113.



If you enjoy creative writing, please consider joining Writing Club. We meet every Monday from 3:45-5pm in Ms. May's classroom (H209). 



Students, do you have something to say?  Does your unique voice need to be heard?  Are you loaded with writing and performing talent and want to share it?  The speech team is the place for you to do all those things and more!  There will be an informative meeting for anyone with an interest in communicating and entertaining through this essential medium.  The meeting will be held in Mr. Baue's classroom, G234, at 3:45 on Tuesday, September 26.  If you have questions or are unable to make the meeting, please see either Mr. Baue in Room G234 or Mr. Klaumann in Room F227, or contact either of them by email.

  • A reminder to all students to report to the auditorium for homeroom today, Tuesday, September 19.
  • STRIVE tutoring will be available after school in the IMC on Tuesdays starting September 19th from 3:45PM-5PM.  All students are welcome to come get tutored by a peer.   Contact Ms. Seehusen or Ms. Marino if you have any questions.
  • Attention, seniors. It's time to complete round 1 of voting for your senior class officers. Round 1's votes will narrow the list to the top 20 vote-getters. The voting form is in your building Google classroom. Round 1 voting ends at 3:40 on September 19. 
  • FBLA Meeting on Tuesday, September 19, after school in Ms. Tunink's room (G220) for all current members and anyone interested in joining. If you can't make it, please contact Ms. Tunink.

  • Any 11th or 12th-grader who wants to go to the Columbus Area College Fair is welcome to get a permission slip from their counselor.  This event will be from 1-2 PM on September 20th, 2023 and a total of 35 students can participate.

  • Attention, freshmen. If you are interested in applying to be on this year's Student Council, an application form can be found in your building Google classroom. Applications are due by 4:00 on September 21. 

Friday, September 22, 2023

  • Attention, seniors. Please take a moment to complete the final round of voting for your senior class officers. The voting form is located in your building Google classroom. Voting ends by 3:00 Friday, September 22. 
  • Students interested in taking the ACT at CHS on October 29th need to register by the September 22 deadline.  If you qualify for a fee waiver, please contact your school counselor for a code.
  • Students: Just a reminder that Friday, September 22, is a noon dismissal. You may find the schedule on the high school website or below.
