Students interested in taking the ACT at CHS on October 29th need to register by the September 22 deadline.  If you qualify for a fee waiver, please contact your school counselor for a code.


Any 11th or 12th-grader who wants to go to the Columbus Area College Fair is welcome to get a permission slip from their counselor.  This event will be from 1-2 PM on September 20th, 2023 and a total of 35 students can participate.



The PSAT will be held at CHS on October 14, 2023, this year.  Any 11th or 10th grader who wants to participate in the PSAT should go to their counselor and get a PSAT waiver.   There are 60 total spots for this event.


We are still accepting junior and senior students for the Close Up Trip to Washington, DC in March. Anyone who may be interested should email or talk to Mr. Coan in room G137 for more information


Any students interested in joining Key Club should plan to attend the meeting on Thursday, September 14 at 7:40 or 3:45 in the Concert Hall. If you have any questions or would like to join but cannot attend the meeting, please contact Ms. Soltys.

Students: If you are bringing a non CHS student to the homecoming dance, you will need to complete the guest permission form. These forms are available in the office from Ms. Maass. They are due no later than noon on Friday, September 8. In addition, please remember that your fines must be paid and your owed detention time must be below 180 minutes to attend the dance. Seniors must have all rollover minutes down to zero.  Questions, please see Ms. Maass.


 Homecoming tickets will be sold in the cafeteria during lunch on Monday, September 11 through Thursday, September 14. Tickets will cost $10 each.


There will be a HOSA meeting on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 7:40am in Ms. Plance's room (G228). Questions can be directed to Ms. Plance or Ms. Kallhoff. This group promotes career opportunities in the health industry.

Ready to Bowl? There will be a meeting for anyone interested in being part of the Unified Bowling team on Thursday September 14, 2023 at 3:45pm in the Cafeteria.  Those who can't make the meeting can email Coach Eickhoff for more information.

  • There will be an FCCLA meeting in Ms. Jaixen's room (G113) on Sept 5th at 6:30. Everyone is welcome!
  • There will be a student/parent informational meeting for students interested in Destination Imagination on Tuesday, September 5th at 6:00PM in the CMS Small Cafeteria.  If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may pick up the informational packet and application from Mr. Townsend in room G115.  Destination Imagination is a team competition where Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and the Arts collide!  If you have a creative mind, a desire to work with a team, and enjoy hands-on projects, join Destination Imagination!  Visit www.destinationimagination.org for more information.

  • There will be a 2nd meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 6 for anyone interested in attending the March Close Up Trip to Washington, DC. The meeting will take place directly after school at 2:40pm in Mr. Coan's room (G137). If you already attended the first meeting, you do not need to attend this one.

  • The Homecoming pep rally will be held on Friday, September 8, from 9:50 a.m. to 10:19 a.m.  
    • At the conclusion of second period, students should go directly to the main gym. Students will sit in their assigned grade levels. At the conclusion of the pep rally, students will go to their third period class. 
    • Parents & Guardians, if you would like to attend, you may arrive at 9:40am and sit on the SE side of the gym.
