Students: Please check your email and E-hall pass multiple times a day as this is the way you will receive messages from the high school office regarding appointments, items dropped off, etc. along with other school information.

There will be an FCCLA meeting in Ms. Jaixen's room (G113) on Sept 5th at 6:30. Everyone is welcome!



There will be a C-Club meeting in the cafeteria after school on Wednesday, September 6th. C-Club is for anyone who has earned a varsity letter. 



There will be a 2nd meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 6 for anyone interested in attending the March Close Up Trip to Washington, DC. The meeting will take place directly after school at 2:40pm in Mr. Coan's room (G137). If you already attended the first meeting, you do not need to attend this one.

Our first meeting is Wednesday, September 6 at 7:30am in the IMC.

Students: If you are bringing a non CHS student to the homecoming dance, you will need to complete the guest permission form. These forms are available in the office from Ms. Maass. They are due no later than noon on Friday, September 8. In addition, please remember that your fines must be paid and your owed detention time must be below 180 minutes to attend the dance. Seniors must have all rollover minutes down to zero.  Questions, please see Ms. Maass.

 


Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday, September 4th, for students. School will resume on Tuesday, September 5th, with a 3:40 dismissal.


Dual credit scholarships are available and the application is now open.  

Please see the College & Career google classroom to access the application.  If you need the join code, contact your school counselor.


Students interested in taking the ACT at CHS on October 29th need to register by the September 22nd deadline.  If you qualify for a fee waiver, please contact your school counselor for a code.



All athletes interested in going out for the CHS Swim and Dive Team this winter there will be an information meeting on September 6 in the cafeteria with Coach Krepel at 2:45.  If you are unable to attend, but would like additional information on the program, please email Coach Krepel at krepelj@discoverers.org.


There will be a student/parent informational meeting for students interested in Destination Imagination on Tuesday, September 5th at 6:00PM in the CMS Small Cafeteria.  If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may pick up the informational packet and application from Mr. Townsend in room G115.  Destination Imagination is a team competition where Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and the Arts collide!  If you have a creative mind, a desire to work with a team, and enjoy hands-on projects, join Destination Imagination!  Visit www.destinationimagination.org for more information.



If you enjoy creative writing, please consider joining Writing Club. We meet every Monday from 3:45-5pm in Ms. May's classroom (H209).

  • The World Language Club will start back up on Monday, August 28th after school. Meetings are held every other Monday in Mrs. Perigo's room F178 from 4-5pm. Students interested in learning about different languages and cultures can come to the meeting on Monday August 28th or email Mrs. Perigo for more information.
  • For anyone interested in the exciting world of competitive robotics, there will be an informational meeting for Robotics Club on Monday, August 28th in room H104 at 3:50 PM. If you are unable to attend, please see Mr. Whitmore or Mr. Townsend.

  • All 10th, 11th, or 12th graders interested in being a S.T.R.I.V.E. tutor this year, need to come to a mandatory meeting in the IMC from 3:45PM-4:15PM on August 29th.
  • Attention, all seniors. It is time to complete a Homecoming Contract application if you are interested in being a senior Homecoming candidate. This application is located in your building Google classroom and is due by 4:00 Tuesday, August 29. 
  • Join us for an ice cream social to learn more about FBLA in Ms. Tunink's room (G220) after school on Tuesday, August 29. If you can't make it or have any questions, contact Ms. Tunink.

  • There will be an informational meeting on Thursday, August 31st for current juniors or seniors who may be interested in attending the Close Up Trip to Washington, DC in March. The meeting will be held at 7:30 AM in Mr. Coan's room (G137). 
  • All CHS Student Ambassadors must attend a mandatory meeting on Thursday, August 31st, 2023 in the cafeteria by the gym doors. All student ambassadors have a choice to come either at 7:30AM or 3:45PM. If you have received a tour guide folder, bring it to the meeting.  If you don't have one, you will receive one at the meeting.
