Attention, seniors. Please remember that your @discoverers accounts will be disabled around the end of June. There are instructions in your building Google classroom about how to move your items into a different gmail account.



Any current 9th, 10th or 11th grader is invited to apply to be a 2023-24 Student Ambassador.   Student Ambassadors give new students tours and help with freshman registration and new student orientation on a yearly basis.   If interested, stop by and see your counselor for an application.


Any current 9th, 10th or 11th graders are invited to come on the College Access Summer tour from May 23rd-May 26.  This student opportunity does not cost any money. This year we will be visiting a total of 10 Nebraska colleges throughout four days.   If interested, stop by and see your counselor for a permission slip. Space is limited for the opportunity.

Monday, May 15

  • Attention to all girls wanting to go out for softball next fall. There will be an informational meeting on Monday, May 15th, at 4:10PM in the cafeteria. If you have any questions or cannot make it, please email Coach Plance at plancek@discoverers.org
  • STRIVE tutoring will be held Monday, May 15, during HR in the cafeteria.  Each tutor and tutee who are paired up should plan to come. 
  • Due to the increment weather on Friday,  seniors have through Monday, May 15, to serve their minutes down to 0 to be able to walk for graduation.
  • The Spring 2023 Art Show is happening now! It begins Thursday, May 11th through Monday, May 15th. If you would like to bring your family, friends, or anyone who may love art: The 2023 CHS Art Show is Monday evening, 5-8 pm. 


Tuesday, May 16

  • Attention, seniors. If you are interested in participating in the Senior Graduation Walk through the district's elementary and middle schools, please stop in the IMC to pick up an application. Applicants must be passing all of their classes and not owe any time. Applications must be turned in to Mrs. Wallin by 4:00 Tuesday, May 16.
  • For any student that is interested in going out for Cross Country next year, there will be a short informational meeting Tuesday, May 16, after school at 3:40 in Mr. Sander's Room G232 or email him at sanderc@discoverers.org  

Wednesday, May 17

  • Today, Wednesday, May 17; is the last day to return Student Ambassadors applications for the 23-24 school year.  23-24 Student Ambassadors will be sent an email of confirmation by May 31st with important event dates for next year.   

Thursday, May 18

  • Today, Thursday, May 18; is the last day to return the Summer College Tour permission slip to the counseling office. Any 9th-11th grader can attend and space is limited for this opportunity. 

Friday, May 19

  • Friday, May 19, will be the last day of the 22/23 school year. There will be a noon dismissal and no lunch will be served. Enjoy your summer.
  • Graduation practice is Friday, May 19. 
    Arrive at 12:45 in the main gym.  1:00 start time.   BE ON TIME!! Plan on staying 1 ½ to 2 hours.
  • Please turn in your elevator key before you leave for summer break. If you do not turn in your key you will be fined $6.00.
