Since it's the end of the school year, all library books will need to be returned  by Friday, May 12.  No check outs will be allowed after that day.  Any library books not returned by the last day of school, will result in the student being charged for the book. Thank you.


Attention, seniors. If you are interested in participating in the Senior Graduation Walk through the district's elementary and middle schools, please stop in the IMC to pick up an application. Applicants must be passing all of their classes and not owe any time. Applications must be turned in to Mrs. Wallin by 4:00 Tuesday, May 16.


Attention to all girls wanting to go out for softball next fall. There will be an informational meeting on Monday, May 15th, at 4:10PM in the cafeteria. If you have any questions or cannot make it, please email Coach Plance at plancek@discoverers.org


Any current 9th, 10th or 11th grader is invited to apply to be a 2023-24 Student Ambassador.   Student Ambassadors give new students tours and help with freshman registration and new student orientation on a yearly basis.   If interested, stop by and see your counselor for an application.



Any current 9th, 10th or 11th graders are invited to come on the College Access Summer tour from May 23rd-May 26.  This student opportunity does not cost any money. This year we will be visiting a total of 10 Nebraska colleges throughout four days.   If interested, stop by and see your counselor for a permission slip. Space is limited for the opportunity.

Monday, May 8

  • CHS will be playing in the NSAA State Soccer Tournament on Monday, May 8, at 5:30pm at Morrison Stadium.
  • We will hold a soccer and spring sports pep rally on Monday, May 8, from 10:00-10:32am in the CHS Main Gym. Parents & Guardians, if you would like to attend, you may arrive at 9:45am and sit on the SE side of the gym.
  • To ensure that students and staff are able to attend, CHS will dismiss all students at 2:46pm, which is the end of 6th period on Monday, May 8.

Thursday, May 11

  • During homeroom (10:00-10:32am) on May 11, 2023, we will recognize the academic achievements of our students and staff. At the conclusion of second period, students should go directly to the main gym. Students will sit in their assigned grade levels. At the conclusion of the pep rally, students will go to their third period class. 
  • Parents and guests who would like to attend the pep rally, may arrive at 9:45 a.m. and sit on the southeast side of the gym. 

Friday, May 12

  • Seniors, there will be an opportunity to come write thank you notes for scholarships received and to people who wrote you recommendations.  It will be Friday, May 12, during homeroom in the counseling classroom.  Thank you note cards will be available.  Sign up is available in google classroom.
