Seniors! Honors Night will be held Wednesday, May 3rd at 7pm. Please check your email for a link to enter scholarship information that will be recognized during Honors Night. If you have any questions, please email or talk to Mrs. Sylvester or Mrs. Loeffelholz.


 

If you are bringing a non CHS student to prom, you will need to complete the guest permission form. These forms are available in the office from Ms. Maass. They are due no later than Friday, April 14. In addition, please remember that fines must be paid and detention time below 180 minutes to attend prom. Questions, please see Ms. Maass.

Students there are 10 Tuesdays and Thursday left before prom.  After School Detention (ASD) is available from 3:45 until 5:45 pm.  Get your time served, if you plan to attend Prom.

Juniors and seniors:  Post prom t-shirt orders are due this Sunday, March 26,2023.  Please use the QR code found on the posters hanging around the school to place your order.


Any Sophomores students looking for leadership opportunities for next year, contact Ms. Marino for an application for Youth Leadership Columbus.


Columbus High School will be conducting the statewide ACT test for all CHS Juniors on April 4, 2023.  On April 5 and 6, all 9th and 10th grade students will take the statewide PreACT test.  We have developed a schedule for the week to ensure that students have the best environment to take a test of this importance.   

 

Tuesday, April 4, 2023

  • Juniors take the ACT at CHS.
  • 9th, 10th and 12th grade students will not be attending school on this date.
  • Juniors should arrive at 7:30AM so that testing can begin on time.
  • Students should make sure to keep their cell phones and smart watches at home.
  • Juniors will be dismissed at the conclusion of the ACT test.
  • Students will have a lunch period that is included in the testing schedule.

 

Wednesday, April 5, 2023

  • All students will be in attendance.
  • CHS will have a 2:35 dismissal.
  • 9th grade students will take the PreACT test in the morning.  They will attend their afternoon classes as scheduled.

Thursday, April 6, 2023

  • All students will be in attendance.
  • CHS will have a 3:40 dismissal.
  • 10th grade students will take the PreACT test in the morning.  They will attend their afternoon classes as scheduled.



Tuesday, March 21

  • John Baylor will be at CHS on Tuesday, March 21 to work with Juniors in preparation for the April 4th ACT. Juniors, you are broken into 2 groups. Session 1 will take place in the cafeteria from 8:10 - 9:40 and session 2 will take place in the concert hall from 9:50 - 11:26. You may find which session you are in by checking the list in your building or counseling google classroom
