In Ms. Parlane's English Language Development class, kindergarten students have been starting the year off by learning about important school words.
One way we help our students be successful in the classroom is by focusing on common vocabulary at the beginning of the school year. Students get practice with viewing, identifying, saying, describing, and acting out the words.
Technology and the use of iPads enhances understanding even more as students have the opportunity to utilize a depth of skills to manipulate, reason, differentiate, and provide evidence. Sometimes they even get to be the teacher!
