Dr. Kay has served as the District Superintendent since 2024 and began his work at CPS as the Director of Finance and Human Resources in 2020.
Dr. Jason Harris, Director of Special Education
Dr. Harris's primary responsibilities include supervision and compliance for birth to 21 special education programs. This also includes staffing, contracted services, federal programs, and state financial/data reporting. Dr. Harris has been in this role with CPS since 2010.
Leonard Kwapnioski, Director of Operations
Mr. Kwapnioski's primary roles include supervision of district technology, facilities/buildings & grounds, and transportation. Mr. Kwapioski has been in this role for CPS since 2000.
Jason Schapmann, Director of Admin. Services
Mr. Schapmann is responsible for Human Resources, Student Teachers, Policy Compliance, Legislative Support, and SRP Planning. Mr. Schapmann joined CPS in this role in 2024.
Brooke Kavan, Director of Teaching & Learning
Mrs. Kavan's responsibilities include all curriculum, instruction, professional learning, state assessments, EL programs, and federal Title grants. Mrs. Kavan joined CPS in this role in 2026.
