Lost Creek Elementary Principal Welcome

Jeff's PhotoI welcome you and your family to Lost Creek School! Lost Creek Elementary School serves approximately 365 students. We have three classrooms of Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, and Third Grade. The largest enrollment is at Fourth Grade. These students are divided among four classrooms.
Special Education offered at Lost Creek School includes Autism Support, Behavior Skills, High Needs and Resource Room Programs. A Speech/Language Pathologist, a full-time Counselor, and a Media Specialist enhance our services. We provide academic support for students such as English Language Learners as well as students requiring help in reading. Physical Education is taught daily. Music is offered three times per week. All of our services reflect the school district’s mission of “Engaging all Learners to Achieve Success.”

Lost Creek Teachers have received staff development in the areas of Professional Learning Communities, Explicit Instruction, and the Art and Science of Teaching (R. Marzano). Technology used by instructors includes MacBook Air computers and projectors that feature projection devices – Apple TVs. Teachers have access to 40 IPads and a cart of 30 laptops for use with students. Our computer lab is equipped with 27 computers. CPS use Google applications such as Gmail and calendar. SchoolMessenger, an automated phone system, will be used most Sunday evenings to share reminders for the coming week with families. New math resources, “Math Expressions,” will be introduced this school year. Everyone is anxiously awaiting the installation of our Inclusive Playground!

Please consider participating in our Parent Teacher Organization. PTO meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.
