The Columbus Public School Foundation is excited to announce a new scholarship opportunity for Columbus High School students. This memorial scholarship is named after Anton Micek and Vincent Mausbach, two longtime Columbus residents who were hard working farmers that understood the importance of establishing sound values and principles in life. Kerry Lassek Operations Employee of the Year

CPS Operations Employee of the Year The Operations Employee of the Year Award was created to recognize district employees, who excel in their service to the teachers and students at Columbus Public Schools, for the contributions that they make to the betterment of the quality and the advancement of CPS. Nominations for the Operations Employee of the Year are accepted from CPS staff, students, school supporting organizations, and the general public. Roberta Nielsen Saalfeld Named 2015 Columbus Philanthropist of the Year

Roberta Nielsen Saalfeld makes a difference in the lives of CHS students. Thanks to her generosity, 27 CHS graduates were able pursue their education after high school. Roberta has been a supporter of the Columbus Public Schools Foundation for more than 20 years. For this generosity, she was named the 2015 Philanthropist of the Year by the Philanthropy Council. Camp Invention

CAMP INVENTION Camp Invention was held again this past summer at Lost Creek Elementary June 15th-19th. This summer experience is for Columbus children entering grades one through six. Camp Invention is made up of learning opportunities led by local teachers. Camp Invention each year teaches curriculum that aligns with the state and national education standards.
